Design: From Industrial Design to City Plan Lecture Panel Discussion

This exhibition is part of an international tour, which started in 1999 and has traveled to the major art museums of Europe and Asia. Il Design in Italia explores the qualitative changes and evolution of Italian design culture in five stages. It selected 100 pieces from between 1945 and 2000 in a chronicle fashion, displaying works from the post-war reconstruction period to the recent Between Memories and the Future. Not only are origins, development and current situation shown, but the pulse of Italian design is clearly displayed. These works, part of the la Triennale di Milano collection, include representative pieces from famous Italian designers from various periods, including A. Castiglioni, A. Mendini, G. Pesce, G. Ponti , A. Rossi, E. Sottsass and M. Zanuso. Exhibition categories include typewriters, motorcycles, televisions, furniture, lights, household utensils and everyday objects. This exhibition boasts both artistic and cultural value, while also hoping to provide Taiwan with in-depth reflection on cultural innovation and artistic design.
