YEN is a curator and arts administrator with a background in museology and visual arts. She has been committed to facilitating international cultural exchange through cross-disciplinary and performing arts in recent years. While working at the Taipei Cultural Center in New York(2009-2021), YEN served as a bridge between Taiwanese arts communities and international counterparts for multiple collaborations. She has been worked at the National Taichung Theater to explore and practice an unconventional theater since 2022.

After graduating with a Ph.D. from the Institute of Visual Culture at the University of Westminster in 2011, and following nearly ten years of independent curatorial work, LAI is currently dedicated to enhancing the professionalism, public engagement, and diversity of art museums, as well as promoting international and local art exchanges.

VR/XR is redefining the ways we view, experience, and perceive art, and these technologies are gradually entering the realm of museums and theaters. While offering new ways to experience exhibitions and performances, how do VR/XR alter conventional ways of viewing and exhibiting? What challenges does presenting XR works pose for these institutions? This panel discussion will start from the experience of institutions exhibiting VR/XR works as a reference point, further explore the potentials of VR/XR viewing, and further discuss the challenges and opportunities of presenting XR works in these institutions.
