TALK II. Weaving Traditional Wisdom and Decentralized Technology
6/14 (FRI.)14:00 - 17:00
Vienna Looi - Buddhism Practitioner, Decentralized Organizations Organizer
Doreen Wang - Podcaster & Organizer of young bodhisattva program
Vivian Chen - Human Rights Activist, Decentralized Organizations Organizer

Decentralized technologies are the pathway to embracing our collective and collaborative human nature. How can we be inspired by the ever-existing traditional wisdom and cultivate technology as a tool for a more inclusive and plural world? In this event, we will explore the concepts behind traditional wisdom across Asia and match them with our envisioned decentralized future. This will be an interactive session with discussions and/or workshops to further our understanding of the fabrication of wisdom-infused technology.
* The event will mainly be in Mandarin.
TALK III. Define Your Own Accelerationism from the Periphery
6/22 (六)14:00 -16:00
mashbean (Explorer of Decentralized Technology and Digital Sovereignty)
This talk aims to introduce the value of d/acc: Defensive, decentralized, or differential [de]accelerationism. The recent debate in the tech community has split into two factions: effective accelerationism (e/acc) and effective altruism (e/a). These factions clash vehemently over the direction of technological development. One side argues that pushing technology forward at all costs is the best way to benefit all of humankind, as the benefits can trickle down to everyone. On the other hand, altruists advocate for slowing down acceleration and developing technology only after consensus has been reached. These debates at the forefront of technological development warrant a reexamination from those of us on the periphery to determine what self-sovereign technology best serves our needs.

GM, Kairos: Proof of Attendance for Arts and Cultural Ecosystem
Curated by Volume DAO
We have traveled to many places, attended countless events, and witnessed one captivating activity after another. After exhibitions, performances, talks, and various occasions of people interacting, how do we reflect on and share these experiences? If we could preserve these moments of presence, how would it transform the artistic and cultural ecosystem we inhabit?
The "Kairos" project, initiated by Volume DAO, is an instrument and platform designed to preserve these piecemeal moments and footprints using blockchain technology, with the aim to rebuild the relationship between the audience and creators. The current exhibition, "GM, Kairos: Proof of Attendance for Arts and Culture Ecosystem," introduces various aspects of this project, including ways of interaction, technical foundations, mechanism design, and underlying concepts. "GM" stands for "Good Morning," an abbreviation commonly used by blockchain enthusiasts to greet each other, often reflecting its vitality and culture. "Proof of Attendance," abbreviated as "POA," indicates that a person has participated in an event, and it can take the shape of NFTs.
The event will start in just a few minutes. Have you already arrived, or are you still on your way? A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. Let’s pave the path to the future arts and cultural ecosystem, and your participation will be remembered and acknowledged with “Kairos”, permanently cherished.
