Art Talk Program X-site

Program X-site has been based on the museum’s outdoor plaza since 2014. It is actually a project of creative nature, in the expectation not only to merge contemporariness, experimentality and publicness, but to encourage cross-disciplinary approach, integration of multiple art forms and issue-oriented debate. As is implied by its title, X stands for the unknown, and X-site, when pronounced together, is associated with an “exciting site”. For both creators and participants, this unknown exciting site is no doubt a stimulating summer program to look forward to.

Find Your Way Out, named after the team of cross-interdiscipline, has stood out as the first prize of the 10th Program X-site in 2023. Under the pandemic sky, the team has been aware of the framed body perception and gradual virtualization of the authentic, organic connection between human beings. By the giant, interactive and site-specific installation, the team invites us to revisit the consciousness of our body that exists. The team will share in the talk the conceptual evolution and practice of Find Your Way out, and expects to observe and elaborate from different angles, the experimental and futuristic nature of Program X-site as well as the public’s potential imagination of the plaza.
