TFAM is Taiwan’s first modern and contemporary art museum and through its expansion to the adjacent Taipei Expo Park, will become Taiwan’s first to employ earth sheltered architectural design. The design and construction team chosen for this project is composed of Ricky Liu & Associates Architects+Planners and the Fortune Construction Company. The project started with a future oriented perspective combining the design concepts of “art nurtured by nature, nature observed in art ” and “the park extends the power of art, ” which established a blueprint for a way forward. In response to this historic and transformative moment, the Museum created the platform TFAM EXPANSION where invited professionals from the fields of culture, academia, museum management, art criticism, and the arts engaged in exchanges and put forward ideas for the future expansion and upgrading of the Museum.
