TFAM on the Move

TFAM on the Move invites local residents to share their memories of the area by telling stories with art. Starting from the theme My Daily Taipei, the program includes appreciation of work from the Museum collection, the gathering of recollections, community interaction, and the creation and presentation of artworks. Through these activities, the Museum will strive to explore cultural characteristics as they relate to contemporary Taipei, and deepen the residents’ connection to their community by fostering a sense of local identity. Furthermore, the project extends its programming to all twelve districts of the city, giving the residents an opportunity to interact with art organically in their daily lives.

The first in this series of events will feature the collection items New Park by Liao Chi-Chun and The North Gate by Wu Cheng-Yen and be presented in Zhongzheng District. Residents are invited to learn more about the special features of the District, such as its North Gate, New Park, and Taipei Main Station. Area senior citizens can travel back to their youth and share artwork based on their impressions of this unique locale and its culture. This event promises to stimulate the imagination and awaken memories of a cherished, bygone era. Increase the topics of life between the participants and family and friends, and through the public display to draw closer connections and exchanges between relatives, friends, and neighbors, to further consolidate the local identity. At the same time, in combination with artistic creation activities, creative aging enjoys the throbbing of beauty and the moving of joy.
