Groups│“I Draw You Draw Me” Kids Workshop Art Experience

Self-portraits are something that artists try over and over, because “me” is a concept that constantly changes. By painting self-portraits, artists become familiar with different sides of themselves, or they use self-portraits to say, “Hey! This is me! Do you recognize me?”

In the “I Draw You Draw Me” Kids Workshop, everyone gets to experiment. Besides observing yourself with your eyes like you’re used to, try closing your eyes and using your hands to become familiar with your face through touch. How about that – my eyebrows feel fuzzy, and my nose feels pointy! When you use touch to feel the contours of your face, it’s very different from seeing yourself in the mirror!

We invite everyone to join the “I Draw You Draw Me” Kids Workshop, and use the sense of touch to get to know a new you.
