Reset Modernity

DM DOWNLOAD

How should we contemplate the relationship between art and science? Is Taiwan’s contemporary condition entirely different from the context of historical development in Europe and the United States? How should regional aesthetic experiences and artistic plans respond to contemporary interdisciplinary challenges? French theorist Bruno Latour shares his relevant curatorial experiences of exhibitions at the ZKM Museum of Contemporary Art in Germany in "Reset Modernity!": Latour and Art in Dialogue. Professors Wu Mali and Gong Jow-Jiun have also been invited to discuss their concepts of localized practice. This workshop hopes to explore the relationship between aesthetic experiences and contemporaneity, and to reflect on possibilities for departure as art confronts the conditions of contemporary living.
