Everyone has their own opinions and their own imagination about the environment we live in. When you walk down the street, have you ever thought: What if the city...What if the city...wouldn’t that be great?
When an idea suddenly comes to your mind, you think about it for a while, but it’s very easy to forget. Why not put it into action, and make every change become a possibility? The family workshop “What If the City” is based around families. Parents and kids take part together, experiencing how to design and create an architectural model. Each family is given a pre-planned foundation to create on, and they each receive a different architectural mission. Using a combination of materials, they create different facilities needed for living in a city, such as police departments, schools, museums, department stores, zoos or amusement parks. Each building, which seems to be independent, is actually interconnected with its surroundings, and together they all form the city as a whole. And while every family is looking after their individual mission, they must also remember to think about the collective vision, so that every corner of the city has a beautiful view.
We welcome groups of grown-ups and kids to take part in this creative workshop.
