Forum: Re-imagining an Art Museum Panel Discussion Program X-site

Museums around the world regularly close for a period of few months, or even years, for the purpose of renovations or service requirements. Service changes to a museum may require operational adjustments, as well as affect citizens or an entire city, and therefore entail many challenges.

The Taipei Fine Arts Museum has been in operation for more than 30 years, and during its tenure has expanded its professional work and audiences. The museum facilities, however, have begun to show signs of age, and therefore require repairs in order to extend the Museum’s vision and meet the needs of its audiences. Forum: Re-imagining an Art Museum will start by focusing on renovations to TFAM’s HVAC system, and be further divided into technical and professional service aspects to explore the renovation of facilities and its prospects. Representatives from museums in Taiwan and abroad will share their experiences in order to further understanding of the trends and challenges associated with museum renovation.

(No advance registration required Please check the Museum website for details.)
