Introduction

“It’s like racing down Provincial Highway 11: every bend in the road reveals a eye-pleasing explosion of color.”

Development for the work had just gotten underway in 2016 when super typhoon Nepartak struck Taiwan. While the rehearsal space was being restored, Bulareyaung took the dancers to the East Coast of Taiwan to create this work, which was inspired by life after the disaster. A blue and white tarp preventing water from leaking through the roof of the group's rehearsal space is a symbol of the optimism and hope in the dance piece.
