A sculpture is a poem that exists in a physical space. The material it’s made of is a language. It voices what the artist feels, thinks, senses and wants. Its pure expression frees the viewer’s visual imagination. The delicate flowering of feeling when we touch the material and the way it awakens all our other senses are what makes creating sculptures so valuable, and why it is always fascinating.

“Sculpting Games” is about the interaction of the senses when we make art with our hands. We have designed an experience of touching different materials: wood, stone, clay and metal. And we have invented four different games. We have also prepared a lot of things to read that extend from this experience. We hope all our visitors will come play like a child, with a light heart. Don’t be afraid. Relax. Let touch guide your other senses. Open up and embrace the challenge that awaits you in every game. Let your touch and thought become more active, changing your visual habits in daily life, which are so often limited to passive reception.
