About TFAM Nights
Under the banner of its program TFAM Nights, the Taipei Fine Arts Museum has opened all its galleries to the public for 11 hours every Saturday from 9:30 am to 8:30 pm for seven consecutive years. In 2010, the program expanded to include multidisciplinary events scheduled in the evening to further enhance the museum's nighttime charm, making TFAM Nights one of the few nighttime events at a public museum in Taiwan. Primarily performances and lectures, these events have added an entertaining and theatrical atmosphere to the program's educational aims. The museum encourages everyone to take the opportunity to experience the beauty of the museum at night first hand. We recommend arriving between four and five in the afternoon to first enjoy the famous TFAM sunset at the adjacent parks or museum lobby, and then stroll through the museum exhibits. TFAM Nights is made possible with support from Credit Suisse AG.
Corporate Sponsorship
Generous support by CREDIT SUISSE AG over the last seven years has made many new programs possible.
Drama & Dance @ TFAM
This series of environmental theater events scheduled monthly from March through October puts the spotlight on the museum as a theatrical venue, and includes theater, dance, music and film.
The museum architecture itself will provide the context for each performer's artwork, thus reinterpreting the role of architecture in cultural events and creating a different kind of landscape. The public will see theater in a completely new light when performed in the museum's transformed environment
Your Creativity @ TFAM
Each in this series of ten multidisciplinary lectures open to the public consists of a 60 minute talk followed by a ten minute question and answer session. The series title “creativity” suggests the mission of the museum as an art institution, and our desire to prepare Taiwan's cultural creative industries for the global cultural economy. The lectures are designed to create a forum to discuss, exchange and disseminate notions of culture and creativity. Eminent lecturers will share excellent insights and unique life experiences.
