《Time Traveling Through Tainan’s Old House 》:C.W Yu〈lecture〉 Your creativity @ TFAM

圖說

How does a livable city stand out from a vibrant crowd of competitive capitals?
How do we flaunt the charm of our own city? What is our concept of our own city?
Taipei is aiming to be a creative city, and has set its sights on becoming the World Design Capital in 2016.
Let’s visit cities where creativity flourished in the twentieth century, such as Tokyo, New York and London, and take in their unique, local flavor, and then take another stroll through those old houses in Tainan.

Having been shaped by the promotion of touring and old home restoration, the lecturer’s thoughts do not merely advance forward in time, but are also firmly entrenched in mining the past. Restored structures such as those found in Tainan and Treasure Hill in Taipei, and tourist spots such as the Meinong District in Kaohsiung and Fongbin in Hualien, all await tourists wanting to re-imagine their lives. In learning how to appreciate the qualities of old architecture we can better understand where the true beauty of living lies. This lecture guides the audience on a creative journey of urban dreams through old houses located in Taiwan and around the world.  (Venue: B2 Auditorium〉
