In the first lecture, Chen Chieh-jen will explain ''charges'' regarding how ''empire'' has controled the cultural imagination and ways of think of fringe areas from the ''cutural cold war'' that took place in Taiwan during the period of the cold war and the end of martial law to the current ''new liberalism.''

 

He will also clarify how an artist utilizes ''art and aesthetics'' to carry out his resistence actions. In the second lecture, resistence actions.
