Cai Guo-qiang’s art expresses metaphysical thought derived from Eastern philosophy and modern cosmology. The grand and magnificent large-scale explosion events and art installations Cai has created have drawn wide praise in international art circles. TFAM has organized four art forums over two days that will take place under the topics “Slow Fire Spreading”, “The Wolves Have Come”, “An Unseeable Romance” and “Word Games”. There forums will explore the “explosiveness, possibilities, intrinsic qualities and value” of Cai’s art. The forums will lead the public in gaining understandings from multiple angles of the artist’s profound inner world as well as the expansive expression of his interdisciplinary art.
