Professor Lee Mei-Rong from Visual Arts Department of Taipei Municipal University of Education is invited as the planner for this exhibition. When reviewing the human’s primitive knot-tying records through the display of ROOY-TAEN’s weaving works, the signs of memory are reminded with each fiber. Memory then occupies our entire life. The move of hands allows the fibers to capture emotions while weaving. The most significant objects or persons in the memory then transform into the signs of visual arts.
Six composition units are thoughtfully planned. Mastering a scenery characteristic of “in memory” and the traveling, bundling, tying of the fibers to induce the students to having their own motivated emotions, and entering a free and imaginary world of memory. The capture of memory, in the movements of fingers, attempts to experiment for another possibility of composition.
