Admission

Visiting Note

  1. Flammable or corrosive liquids, sharp objects, and pets (not including guide dogs) are prohibited in the Museum.
  2. Please place umbrellas in the rack near the Museum entrance. Mini umbrellas can be carried in your personal bag after entering the Museum.
  3. Any size of backpacks, or items exceeding 40 x 30 x 20 cm must be stored in a locker at the Museum Information Center located in the lobby.
  4. Food having a strong odor or not in sealed packaging cannot be brought into the Museum. Plants, including fruit, vegetables, and cut flowers, that may contain insects must be in sealed packaging and stored in a locker at the Museum Information Center. Perishable items not collected from lockers by the end of the day will be discarded by the Museum.
  5. The Museum is currently not providing groups with an area for eating. Student groups requiring an eating area are welcome to make use of the nearby Taipei Expo Park (next to the Yuanshan MRT Station). In the event of rain or other unforeseen situations, student groups visiting the Museum can inquire at the Information Center on the first floor for a key card that will give them access to the Student Group Rest Area, which is available on Tuesdays through Sundays from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. For further details, please refer to Student Group Rest Area rules.
  6. Please place water bottles in your personal bag after entering the Museum. Drinking beverages is prohibited in the Museum galleries. Beverages may be consumed in the visitor rest area by the water fountain.
  7. Please follow the instructions of Museum personnel or signage.
  8. Do not touch the artworks. Please follow the instructions of Museum personnel or signage regarding the use of interactive works.
  9. In order to maintain the quality and safety of exhibition environments, the use of selfie-sticks is prohibited in the Museum.
  10. Non-commercial, non-flash photography is allowed in the Museum unless otherwise indicated. To protect intellectual property and copyrights, the use of tripods, camera stabilizers, and other professional photography and video equipment is prohibited.
  11. Other than pencils, the use of writing or drawing media, such as ball point pens or markers, is not permitted in the Museum. If needed, pencils can be borrowed at the Information Center.

Members with valid identification issued by the International Council of Museums (ICOM), American Alliance of Museums (AAM), International Committee for Museums and Collections of Modern Art (CIMAM),Chinese Association of Museums (CAM), or other museum institutions that TFAM is associated with.
  7. Volunteers with “Voluntary Service Honor Card” (including voluntary workers, members of voluntary traffic police, voluntary police, voluntary firefighters and civil defense personnel, etc.)
  8. Off-campus educational or academic exchange for public or private schools or art related departments in universities and colleges in Taipei (must apply with TFAM in advance for approval).
  9. Residents of districts in Taipei in groups with more than 10 people (respective district office must apply with TFAM in advance for approval).
  10. Art related activities organized by government agencies or art and cultural groups (must apply with TFAM in advance for approval).
  11. Free admission may be announced by TFAM on days during exhibition installation/de-installation, special museum celebrations, art festivals, International Museum Day, or other art-related special holidays.

  1. Valid identification or “Taipei Pass” must be shown for Discount Admission, Taipei Resident Admission, and Free Admission.
  2. The “Tickets” listed on this appendix do not include tickets for special exhibitions/events sold through collaborations with private companies/groups.
