'Entanglements: The Rhythm of Being—Within Connections and between Beings' Artist Talk Artist's Talk

*Please note that the event has been moved to 1F Cloister.

Theme & Description|

This lecture begins with the artists’ creative practices to reflect on contemporary understandings of “existence.” As modern physics suggests that, at the quantum level, things are not isolated or independent but exist in states of continuous connection and mutual influence, our perceptions of the boundaries between self, others, and the world are also being reimagined.

The invited artists will share how their works explore traces and transformations within micro and ecological worlds. Working at the intersection of science and art, they open up multiple interpretations of existence. Their practices attend to subtle and often overlooked phenomena, while also addressing how humans perceive environments and relate to other beings. By loosening a human-centered perspective, the lecture invites audiences to reconsider how we exist in the world, and how we understand our position and meaning within ever-shifting and interconnected networks, as well as the choices and interventions we make within them.
