Literature can set the imagination free. Readers relate to characters’ struggles and observe and consider life’s possibilities and impossibilities with every turning page. Art and literature nurture one another while soothing the mind and sparking the imagination.
The Quoting Room is inspired by the reading of novels, a once common activity that is gradually disappearing from contemporary life. The museum invites visitors to read the novels on display and then write down passages that they feel are particularly resonant. The event space maintains a relaxed atmosphere where visitors can encounter a novel’s protagonist, an author’s thoughts and a contemporary spirit.
Museum visitors are welcome to enter the Quoting Room. Advance registration is not required.
